COIDA Registration for Commercial Employers
Every commercial entity in South Africa with employees must register for COIDA. This includes CCs, Pty Ltds, partnerships, and sole proprietors with staff.
Commercial vs Domestic Registration
Commercial employers use standard industry tariff classes. Unlike domestic employers, commercial businesses cannot use the simplified domestic tariff.
Required Documents
- CIPC company registration certificate
- ID documents of directors
- Business bank details
- Employee payroll records
Once registered, your business receives a unique COIDA registration number used for all future submissions and claims.
